A new meta tax!

Studying linguistics has made watching the news a lot funner...

Mark Latham: "... except new taxes on cigarettes and the Airport Departure Tax"

We're apparently getting a metatax. ^_^

    I don’t know what this is about but my name is Meta Tax. that’s funny right..?
    but I suppose metatax means taxes over taxes..right?

    LOL, that is funny.

    Yes, this was about a tax on the airport departure tax. Mark Latham was a great and quotable MP, but sadly he had to tone himself down when he became the leader of the federal Labour Party. I’ve got a newspaper clipping of him saying “We’ve already had two votes about Kim Beazley. They were called federal elections and we lost them both”. It’s even funnier now, since Mark Latham’s been the leader of the federal Labour Party since then, and now Kim Beazley is once again such. ^_^
