So, seems I’m bad with dates, although I guess that isn’t news.

For some reason, I had it in my head that today was 1st March, and so last night, I had takeaway (same curry rice and karaage I’ve had before), plus a beer to celebrate. I thought it would be poetic that after the less-than-satisfying results of last month to start on a clean slate (having eaten all the food I owned) on the 1st of the month.

I only noticed my mistake when creating this blog post, despite actually going to work today, and seeing “February 28th”, “tomorrow is March”, etc. I even went so far as to worry about my existing visa card expiring, and got my replacement out and tested it yesterday.

Annoyingly, if I’d _realised_ I’d made this mistake, I would have had another takeaway and have arrived at the clean slate I craved, including clearing my “carry-over” balance.

Not much else to say. I shopped conservatively, the only new thing is the gelato. The soups are (I guess) a new packaging on a soup I’ve had before.

And looking back, I realise now I forgot to buy the icy stix. Dammit. >_<

With a bit of luck, I won’t be eating the gelato for dinner next Saturday.

  1. Haha oh no! So OCD Paul! Well at least it was a Monday? And that’s as good a clean slate day as any 🙂

    1. I think it wasn’t OCD because I didn’t go and do a bunch of extra things to make it line up. I was just hoping to appreciate the beauty in alignment of arbitrary numbers. Totally different.
