Days until next shop: 5 (📅 February 13th 2022) with 3,674kj carry-over.
I finally spreadsheeted (spreadedsheet?) this, and found a 180kj undercount in the manual addition, which I’ve fixed and backdated. From here on, the computer will ensure accuracy.
Reflections after the fold.

So the Fitness Outcomes and pre-coooked eggs are back in stock, so I bought a lot (eight of each). The trade-off was that the supermarket was out of the high-protein Special K I’ve been getting, so it’s a half-load of cereal.
The reason I put the spreadsheet together is I still have a concerniningly-large amount of stuff left from my last shop, so I suspected I’d misplaced a day. As it happens, I had misplaced 180kj, and a mistake in a formula on the spreadsheet meant that for a short time, I did appear to have gone shopping a day early.
Luckily, I caught the mistake before this secretly became Project 6000.
Looking at the spreadsheet now, I reckon I could make a form that auto-populates the header-thing I’ve been using. I’m not going to (today) but I know I could.
Anyway, I am glad to know that I didn’t mess up the project, and that I did find a small manual mistake, doubly-justifying putting this into a spreadsheet.
And an observation I’m not sure what to do with: Ignoring the two weeks where I had a take-away meal, my shopping size has been steadily declining in kj total, even though I don’t feel like I’m coming back with less-full bags. In fact, I feel like my bags are more-full each time, as I have less room for drinks and non-food items in each trip. This is all subjective though, and through the fog of recollection. After all, I haven’t proved that my bags aren’t shrinking.
I’m not sure if this means I’m getting more kj-efficient (decreasing calorie density), but there’s some kind of trend here. Perhaps next Project 7000 (non-shopping) update I’ll put up a gallery and make a visual comparison. Barring other news or changes, I expect that’ll be a weigh-in at the end of February.
